Testing

This question is on my 3rd grade daughter's test:

A table could be called a tuble if
1. people using that word agreed that it means what table means.
2. we told our friends and our parents it was a tuble.
3. we said tuble out loud ten times.
4. a table could say, "Call me a tuble."

This is testing what, I ask you? Her reasoning skills? Surely this doesn't REALLY have a right or wrong answer. It's nonsense.

She answered #3. I have no doubt that is wrong. I think it would be #1. In her mind? I bet it was a close one between #s 3 and 4!

So far, that's the only 'out-there' question I've found on this test.

hello again...hello

dear me
dunno if i can do this
as many who know me know i've been marathon blog-reading Chez Larsson... here is her link:
http://chezlarsson.com/myblog/
but getting back into MY OWN BLOG is sorta weird. i've been lurking for years now. ever since my dream of running a marathon came crashing down. i'd spent so much time and energy chronicling my 'progress' (and blisters and torture and euphoria and tumult, etc) and once it started fading i posted infrequently but then when the dream hit the can....my blogging dried up.

so i don't even really know what i'm doing. can't spend any time learning it either. just know i've been inspired and WANT TO. so chez larsson (benita of sweden who has a WHITE beautiful, UNCLUTTERED home) is on typepad and when I link to her, the link above shows typepad but then when i try to post her link somewhere else it says DOT COM. so who the heck knows. anyone (ahem, dear hubby) who KNOWS anything about anything in the techno world is too busy w/ his own projects (read: bringing a VW bus back to life) and work (thank-you-dear-hubby-i-love-you-for-working-for-us--so-we-can-live-in-this-house--so-i-can-stay-home-and-so-we-can-educate-our-children-and-so-WE-can-raise-them-not-someone-else--thank you a million!) ((gaaaaaasp)) but the long and short of it, folks is that i am not a techno wizard. the knowledge refuses to just FALL INTO MY BRAIN
so...here's me...blogging about my life (full) but using a media (blank slate in my brain) of which i know little and just play w/ by trial and error!

SPEAKING OF WHICH, if i hadn't JUST unceremoniously whipped my cord off the table (thankfully clear, thanks to benita from sveden!) and plugged it in and connected it to this computer, this whole post woulda been finito, gone-o! so, thankfully, we're still here. getting our juice.

have i mentioned that it's 6:14 a.m. and i've been up since 3:15? love this new schedule. well, i love it at 6 when the sun is peeking and i've accomplished some stuff and i'm writing or reading while my sweeties slumber peacefully.....but i sure didn't like it at 3:15 when dh's alarm was going off BING BING BING loudly-er than LIFE!

thank You, Lord, for this day.. even tho it might just reach 102 here today.. ugh

Raw Foods...Health

I have been reading on a blog: Wellthy Mom or something. as soon as i figure out how to add others' links to my page, i'll do it. this is ONE HEALTHY WOMAN! i don't know that i can do all that she does, but we are all SICK this week, and i've got Christmas programs coming up, etc. She is convinced that her ways nip these bugs in the BUD b4 they get bad ... in lieu of using OTC meds, etc. She has 4 kids under 11 & says none have ever been on antibiotics NOR have any of them been to the doc in 2 yrs! wowsa! i want that!

so, i did make a smoothie this morn: water, froz. fruits (my $6 bag from wallie-world...lasts a LONG time), froz. spinach, honey (not even that much), a handful of froz. cranberries i had....i think that's all. i FORGOT to put in the plain yogurt (w/ cultures) that i norm. do in smoothies...but that might be why it tasted so good! now i know i can leave out yogurt. i had not, previously. =) it was fabulicious! the kids even loved it! last time i put spinach in, and we could see so much green, they did NOT like it...i didn't either. but this was YUMMY! i know the spinach & the crans were very healthy and vitamin packed. i usually put in a couple tsps of some germ type thing i keep (wheat germ or i dunno ..something flaky) but there wasn't any in the fridge.

so, that's my foray into it today. i cooked my fam turkey bacon (we LOVE oscar mayer turk. bacon!), fried eggs (yuk...but they all love 'em...runny...double yuk) and some brown-n-serve rolls that we got from the overstock of our church's thanksgiving baskets we gave out. (they told us last nite to take some cuz they can't stock the food closet w/ something like that. cool.)
i did have some turk.baco. & a roll. looked whole wheat but i'll betchya it wasn't. oh well. if that's the worst thing i have today, i'd say i'm WELL ON MY WAY 2 being a HEALTHY eater! ha!

Off to a great start! HA!

well, i give it that title cuz, like i knew this would work, i haven't even logged on here since i wrote intro. post! ah well. this is not a high priority. does that sound bad? this will serve a purpose...tho i don't know that i can fully recognize it as of yet. my thought is to be able to connect w/ many w/o sending individual emails. ? honestly, i started this 1 in response to the "We learn too" blog. i think i needed to ? to be able to post on that 1? i dunno. i can't really get this this time. for instance, i dunno how to put my friends' links on the side bar like i did b4. it was SO complicated when i was blogging a couple of years ago. hmmm... & it will take TIME to figure it out.

so, all that to say.... not much. i am going to post separately now on RAW foods and vitamins and health, etc.

=) God bless!

I really need 2 spend more time on the 'puter!

Like i need a hole in my head. For some reason I'm thinkin i need to be doing this to be involved in the others that i am...involved with. Like, i have a profile, but no blog. Hmmm. So, here i am. Recently SOMEONE got me into facebook. WOW. Time CONSUMING! So, i'm not planning 2B a regular blogger again. for the time-wasting reason. My kids, hubby, home need me more than mr. inanimate computer does. I know from experience that blogging can take on a life of it's own! (When i was training for marathon--ouch!)

So be it. No longer am i "Mom on the Run" but now i'm "in the desert?" That is cuz for 4 months now Adelaide and I have been walking in the desert in the early morns! It is the best thing ever! Around the same time i became clean and sober having given up DIET PEPSI. Wow! What a habit. 20+ years. Back to things of this world: the desert walks are wonderful. Adelaide is our year old St. Bernard/border collie mix. I'll post pics. She is THE BEST DOG EVER! We're in a bit of a valley right now as she just getting spayed and has a bit of a leg problem i can't figure out. So, FOR THE MOMENT, I'm walking w/o her. She is not liking that! When i get ready, she does too. When i go to the door, she comes too. Today I had the girls take her upstairs to sidetrack her whilst i walked out. I just had to do it. I'm too much of a pushover and i keep taking her on little walks...i really think the best thing for her is to just lay around (she is GREAT at that!) for another week or so. It's sad but she'll live. I hope.

Yes, it was 32 degrees or something this a.m. But, you know, FLEECE is the greatest thing since ... I dunno...since ipod shuffles and garmins! With my fleece, i only need a long-sleeved shirt underneath! I do wear mittens these days. But don't even need the scarf w/ the fleece! Yes, have the garmin, the mp3, & usually the warm headband thingy...but even that gets itchy 1/2way thru walk. yuk. Isn't that great? I just love fleeces. I've been wearing mine ragged but just tonite i went into the upstairs closet and LO & BEHOLD there were THREE (count 'em) fleeces that i'd forgotten about! I think d.h.'s and 2 from a friend's garage sale stuff. Wow! They just have to have pockets for mp3 & phone. oh, and doggie treats!

We meet up w/ friends from 'the other side of the desert' and their dogs: lab, lab/border collie mix, and spottie border collie/ um...australian shep mix? or heeler mix? I dunno. GREAT dogs, tho. Adelaide loves them to death. They all look for each other until we meet up! So cute! Only problem is, sure-footed Adelaide (keep in mind she's only JUST a year) is not so nimble when carousing w/ her friends! Thus the hurt leg. She just MISSES bumps in the path, sage brush BUSHES, hills, holes, etc. I think she must've wrenched some joint when playing w/ Bo 2 wks ago... It's been slow to heal. Silly gal. That is why i HAVE to keep her laying low. For now.

Well, you're still reading so you must not be too bored. I know i am! I cried today, reading a blog about adoption. The link is on the fratetrain blog ... maybe i'll get a link on here if i figure out how...and if it doesn't take me 2 wash cycles to figure it out! So, anyway, my piddly blog is silly in comparison. I mean, i think they have 11 living at home...don't know how many are adopted. But special needs galore and adopting 2-3 more this year! wowsa! blessed! amazing! So, i don't wanna write piddly stuff. I think i'll stop now.

Don't know what i'll use this for but here it is! =) God bless!!!
